The retreat of the troops from Iraq

According to the latest statistics, about 4,400 American soldiers have died and another 32,000 have been seriously injured in Iraq.                                  Why were these lives lost? What cause were they defending?
The past administration, headed by president George W, Bush was the author and executor of the war, for which deadly consequences Republican leaders are now blaming Democrat President Barack Obama.
In 2003, the Bush administration made the nation believe that Saddam Hussein's dictatorship was somehow related to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and that it was building mass weapons to destroy the United States.
Under these arguments, lawmakers, both Democrat and Republicans, approved the invasion of Iraq in March of 2003.
Every politician in the world as well as  everyday people who read newspapers knew that Saddam Hussein was leading a dictatorship in decadence and he maintained a hostile relationship with Osama Bin Laden, the author of the bloody terrorist act of Sept. 11.
It's been seven years since the initial invasion and the mass murder weapons were never found simply because they never existed.
During his presidential campaign, president Barack Obama promised to end that ridiculous war and that finally by 2011 all American troops would be withdrawn.
About 90,000 soldiers have been withdrawn from Iraq since 2008.
Now Republican leaders are bugging President Obama for his plan to withdraw the troops, considering such move a dangerous and poorly planned.
But, why hasn't anyone paid attention and asked President Bush for the thousands of unjustified deaths and mutilated American lives the war left?
Why hasn't anyone demanded answers from the past administration for the tens of thousands of millions of tax dollars that have been spent in Iraq?
It is true that the Iraq war is a current problem, and that current problems can't be solved with the past. But if Americans don't realize the origins of their sorrows they will never be able to avoid them in the future.
