Chávez irá a la reunión de Unasur sobre Haití en Ecuador

Caracas, 9 feb (EFE).- El presidente venezolano, Hugo Chávez, confirmó hoy su asistencia a la reunión extraordinaria de la Unión de Naciones Suramericanas (Unasur), el próximo martes, en Quito,

convocada para definir la ayuda que se prestará a Haití.

"Estaremos el martes en Ecuador. Nos ha convocado a Quito el presidente (Rafael) Correa a los presidentes de la Unión de Naciones Suramericanas para tratar el tema de Haití", dijo Chávez en su programa dominical ¡Aló Presidente!.

"Me parece una muy oportuna la convocatoria de nuestro presidente Correa. Ojalá que podamos ir todos. Nosotros hemos confirmado, no podemos faltar a esa reunión, y el martes estaremos Dios mediante en nuestra muy querida Quito, ciudad hermosa, con un pueblo que nos llena de amor cada vez que lo visitamos", añadió el mandatario.

Fuentes ecuatorianas indicaron que está previsto que a la cita asistan, además de Chávez, los presidentes René Préval (Haití), Evo Morales (Bolivia), Fernando Lugo (Paraguay), Alan García (Perú) y Álvaro Uribe (Colombia).
