Agente de Patrulla Fronteriza dispara a vehículo en Arizona

(AP) Un oficial de la Patrulla Fronteriza de Estados Unidos realizó disparos el lunes en contra de un vehículo cuyo conductor se negó a detener la marcha al sur de la ciudad de Sierra Vista, dijo el presidente del sindicato que representa a los agentes.

George McCubbin, presidente del Consejo Nacional de la Patrulla Fronteriza, dijo que el oficial de antemano había bajado de su unidad cuando otro vehículo avanzó en su dirección y pareció que iba a embestirlo.
McCubbin agregó que el vehículo huyó a toda velocidad, y que finalmente su conductor abandonó el coche y siguió a pie.
Mario Escalante, vocero de la Patrulla Fronteriza, dijo que nadie resultó herido en el incidente y que por ahora no cuenta con más detalles sobre el tiroteo.
El portavoz de la Oficina Federal de Investigación (FBI, por sus siglas en inglés) en Phoenix, Manuel Johnson, indicó que el buró ha enviado agentes al lugar en el Condado de Cochise, pero se negó a ofrecer más información.
